I have currently read
three volumes of this series. The low rating is due to
the fact that currently three volumes out for this manga
nothing has really happened. It is kind of funny,
and there was an okay "get to know the main
character's past" type plot, but nothing has caught
my attention. The anime series (which I enjoy) does
not follow the manga very closely. The anime has focused
on a plot that has already ended in the manga. There is a
new short story that has begun that isn't in the amount
of anime I have seen. With the anime so good, hopefully
the manga series will pick up as well. The general idea of the manga series is about the life and troubles of Orphen (not his real name). With only particial training at the Tower of Fang, he is an inexperienced sorceror, but has high potential to be one of the best. Since leaving the Tower, Orphen has been on a quest to help Azarii, a cursed woman of Orphen's past. Joining him is his student/slave Magic, a son of a bartender. And to Orphen's grief, there is also Cleo, daughter of a wealthy family who craves adventure. Rating -- 6
